It seems in every interpreter language I’ve used there was always, sooner or later, a need for a more complete and accurate method to determine variable types.
So here is what I have for the Flash (8) side of the dice. I haven’t yet moved to AS3 so I’m unable to test how this code will perform on the latest and greatest. But for AS2 I’ve done my very best to keep this short, simple and accurate.
I wrote 2 forms of the code, a Function and Class version.

Tis the season to be busy, so this month were going to have an informal chat, a pint, maybe a steak and ale pie, and share our first impressions of CS4.
We’ll be meeting in the Rose & Crown Pub on 4th Street SW (map) on Wednesday 12th November at 6pm.
