Our first meeting will be held on Feb. 7th at 7:00pm in the Hotel Arts Raw Bar. Get directions using Google Maps.

After giving the polls a few days to populate, it looks like the majority of our members live in the NW quadrant of Calgary, prefer to meet on the first Wednesday of each month, and would prefer to meet in a pub or in a classroom.

Currently one of our members, Richard Manuel, is looking into getting us a classroom at SAIT. Another member, Kyle Meyer, has recommended that we meet at the Hotel Arts (1 Street & 12 Avenue SW) in their Raw Bar. See some pictures here.

For our first meeting, I figured that we should focus on getting to know everyone. Raw Bar seems like a good place to do this. Hopefully by March we will have a classroom to meet in, if that is what we intend to do.

I really want to get as many members out as possible, so please leave your comments and concerns below. I would like to make a reservation and possibly get part of the bar closed off for us, so if you plan on coming please RSVP by emailing me at manager@flashcalgary.org.
