Welcome to the new Calgary Adobe Flash User Group website. Our previous manager Andrew Alderson has recently handed the management of the group over to me. Andrew will be founding the Calgary Flex User Group later on this year.

There are approximately 100 members of the group at this time (Jan 2007). This group has been fairly inactive over the past couple years due to a lack of interest from our members. This may have been caused by a large gap in knowledge and skills, as most of our meetings were geared towards training in Flash development and lacked the creative side of Flash. My goal as the new manager of the Calgary Adobe Flash User Group is to regain some interest back into this group by focusing on social networking rather than training. I would like our members to get out and talk to each other over a few beers and maybe some bowling, instead of meeting online through Breeze or meeting in a college classroom. If you have any locations in mind please feel free to let me know.

We should use this group as a means to establish a good relationship with other Flash designers and developers in the Calgary area and hopefully the results of this relationship will lead to more prosperity for all of us.
